BMW Unveils the 2025 R 1300 GS Adventure at Bharat Mobility Global Expo
The all-new BMW R 1300 GS Adventure has debuted in India at ₹22.95 lakh. Featuring a 30-litre tank, advanced electronics, and rugged styling, it’s built for premium adventure touring.
Building on its tradition of introducing "Adventure" variants of its standard models, BMW Motorrad has unveiled the all-new BMW R 1300 GS Adventure at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The 2025 R 1300 GS Adventure starts at ₹22.95 lakh (ex-showroom), with bookings open now and deliveries set to begin in April 2025. Offered in four distinct variants: Basic, Triple Black, Style GS Trophy, and 719 Karakorum, the Adventure variant boasts a commanding presence, highlighted by a 30-litre fuel tank and a bulkier, more rugged design compared to the standard R 1300 GS.
Key styling updates include the characteristic X-shaped LED headlight, an optional lean-sensitive adaptive headlight, and twin auxiliary lights for enhanced visibility. The Adventure model features a wider front profile, a more robust design, a taller windscreen, and an optional electrically adjustable suspension, adding both visual appeal and practical benefits.
At the heart of the R 1300 GS Adventure lies the same potent 1,300 cc boxer twin engine as the standard model, delivering 143 bhp at 7,750 rpm and 149 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. A notable engineering enhancement sees the six-speed gearbox now positioned beneath the engine for improved weight distribution and performance.
The R 1300 GS Adventure comes loaded with advanced electronics, including multiple riding modes, lean-sensitive cornering ABS, engine brake control, and hill-hold assist. Riders can also opt for the Enduro riding mode, specifically tailored for tackling off-road terrains. Additional optional features include adaptive cruise control, electronically adjustable suspension, adaptive ride height, and Pro Ride Modes, allowing for extensive customisation to suit various riding conditions.
The chassis comprises a sheet metal shell main frame combined with an aluminium tube and forged lattice rear frame. The advanced EVO Telelever front suspension and EVO Paralever rear suspension, paired with the Dynamic Suspension Adjustment system, ensure optimal ride comfort and stability. This system dynamically adjusts front and rear damping while automatically fine-tuning the spring rate.
Standard equipment includes cross-spoke aluminium wheels, with an optional upgrade to lighter enduro-forged wheels that reduce the overall weight by nearly 2 kg. The wheel sizes, 19 inches front and 17 inches rear, are carried over from the standard model. The braking system consists of dual 310 mm discs with four-piston radial-mount callipers at the front and a single 285 mm disc with a two-piston calliper at the rear, ensuring exceptional stopping power.
The BMW R 1300 GS Adventure is available in a variety of striking colour schemes. The Basic variant comes in Racing Red, while the optional styles offer unique finishes: Triple Black in Blackstorm Metallic, GS Trophy in Racing Blue Metallic, and the premium 719 Karakorum in Aurelius Green Matt Metallic.
With its cutting-edge technology, rugged design, and premium features, the 2025 BMW R 1300 GS Adventure promises to set new benchmarks for the adventure touring segment.
