Ford has launched the facelifted 2025 Equator Sport with subtle yet impactful design changes and new color options for the Chinese market. Ford continues to strengthen its SUV lineup with this facelift, offering aesthetic improvements while keeping the reliable powertrain intact. Prices for the facelifted Equator Sport are yet to be announced, but the existing model is priced between ¥26,800 and ¥65,500 (₹15.14 lakh to ₹19.76 lakh).
Exterior Updates
- A redesigned front fascia with a sleeker grille and refreshed lighting elements.
- New 20-inch alloy wheels for an enhanced road presence.
- Rear bumper updates and two new color options, Wilderness Green and Cactus Gray.
- Extended length by 55mm, giving it a more assertive stance.
Interior Enhancements
- New trim options and an upgraded 10-speaker audio system.
- Retains dual 12.3-inch screens for both infotainment and instrument display.
- Ford’s other models in China offer larger infotainment screens, but the Equator Sport facelift sticks with its current size.
Engine and Powertrain
- Powered by the same 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine, producing 168 hp and 260 Nm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
- The front-wheel drive remains standard.
- A plug-in hybrid variant with 215 hp is expected soon, featuring a battery pack from CATL.
