Chery Automobile has filed a patent for the QQ3 in India, featuring two battery options, advanced safety systems, and modern interior technology. The QQ3 offers up to 420km claimed range and supports fast charging.

Chery Automobile, a Chinese carmaker, has filed several patents in India. The latest patent comes from its sub-brand QQ, which focuses on compact cars. The QQ3 model, however, is not a typical compact hatchback. It measures 4.2 metres in length, making it larger than most compact cars. To enhance practicality, the QQ3 offers a 70-litre frunk.

Exterior and Interior Features
The Chery QQ3 features an all-LED lighting setup for improved visibility. The charging port is mounted on the rear fender. The car has a closed front grille and air vents for better aerodynamics. It rides on dual-tone alloy wheels, available in 16-inch or 17-inch sizes.
Inside, the QQ3 comes equipped with an eight-inch digital instrument cluster. The infotainment system is a 15.6-inch 2.5K high-resolution touchscreen. Wireless connectivity and a 50W wireless charging pad are included for convenience. The car also features a six-speaker audio system and AI voice assistance.
Powertrain and Performance
The Chery QQ3 hatchback is powered by a rear-wheel-drive motor. The higher-spec version produces 121bhp and 115Nm of torque. It uses a 41.2kWh liquid-cooled lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, offering a claimed range of 420km. The lower-spec version has a 77bhp and 90Nm RWD motor, paired with a 29.5kWh battery, and claims a 310km range.
Both versions support 6.6kW AC fast charging. With DC charging, the battery can charge from 30 to 80 percent in up to 16.5 minutes.
Safety and Assistance Systems
The QQ3 includes Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Safety features comprise rear collision warning, ABS, electronic stability program (ESP), traction control, and electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD). The car also offers hill start and hill descent assists. All four wheels have disc brakes, with ventilated discs at the front and solid discs at the rear. An electronic parking brake is standard.
