Upcoming BSA Scrambler 650 Details
The BSA Scrambler 650 is already available in select European markets. It is based on the Goldstar 650, which has been sold in India since 2024. The Scrambler 650 is expected to provide a more affordable alternative to the Royal Enfield Bear 650. The Bear 650 starts at Rs. 3.75 lakh, ex-showroom. The BSA Scrambler 650 is likely to be priced Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 30,000 lower, reflecting its traditional equipment and single-cylinder engine. In contrast, the Bear 650 uses a twin-cylinder engine.
The Scrambler 650 uses the same 652cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the Goldstar 650. This engine produces about 46bhp and a peak torque of 55Nm. It is paired with a five-speed gearbox. The motorcycle features a 19-17-inch spoke wheel combination, fitted with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres.
Design and Equipment Features
The Scrambler 650 has a different sub-frame compared to the Goldstar 650. It features a sleeker tail and a bench-style seat. The exhaust canister is also different, possibly designed for a deeper exhaust note. These changes distinguish the Scrambler 650 from its sibling and enhance its off-road appeal.
Classic Legends has not confirmed the full list of motorcycles to be launched at the event. However, the focus on the number '65' and the Scrambler's features suggest it will be a highlight. The launch will expand Classic Legends' portfolio in India and provide more options in the mid-capacity motorcycle segment.
