Design

The Desmo450 MX will be Ducati’s first-ever production motocross bike, which offers a motocross-inspired design. To make it lightweight, the brand has used a strong aluminum frame while increasing the strength by decreasing the weld seams. Being a fast-paced dirt bike, braking is also essential while performing heavy off-trail riding, so braking duties are carried out by Brembo hardware with a two-piston floating caliper.

Ducati Desmo450 MX: Engine Specs

As being the only Ducati bike with the Desmodromic engine in India. The bike is powered by Ducati’s all-new 449.6 cc single-cylinder engine with liquid-cooling and a 4-valve head. The engine is designed in such a way that it can be used for both professional and amateur riders. This motocross engine is capable of producing 62 HP of power along with 54 Nm of peak torque.

A wide torque curve delivers 70% peak from 4,200 rpm, ensuring explosive corner exits. Additional features include the titanium intake and sodium-filled exhaust valves, which optimize heat and performance, making it ideal for pros and amateurs alike. This MotoGP-derived powerplant redefines MX benchmarks, blending raw fury with controllable delivery.

Speaking about the official debut, Mr. Bipul Chandra, Managing Director of Ducati India, said, “The reception for the Desmo450 MX in Calicut was phenomenal.
