Ducati is once again coming into the limelight at the Indian Supercross Racing League Season 2 finale in Calicut. The Italian two-wheeler brand has recently made its Desmo450 MX debut in India. With this debut, Ducati has given its fans a first glimpse of the upcoming 2026 motocross model. This marks the Italian icon's bold entry into off-road racing, bringing Borgo Panigale's racing DNA to dirt tracks nationwide.
The debut was held in Callicut on December 21, 2025, in front of a crazy enthusiast crowd that added additional excitement, with Ducati making its official entry into India’s growing off-road motorcycle championship, ISRL, for the 2026 season. Let’s take a closer look at the all-new Ducati Desmo450 MX launching in India next year.
Motocross-Inspired Design

The Desmo450 MX will be Ducati’s first-ever production motocross bike, which offers a motocross-inspired design. To make it lightweight, the brand has used a strong aluminum frame while increasing the strength by decreasing the weld seams. Being a fast-paced dirt bike, braking is also essential while performing heavy off-trail riding, so braking duties are carried out by Brembo hardware with a two-piston floating caliper.
