Key Highlights

  • Honda launches the 2026 CB650R in Malaysia at RM47,999 with new colour options.
  • New Candy Energy Orange and Matte Jeans Blue Metallic colours added to the lineup.
  • 649cc inline-four engine delivers 93.8bhp and 64Nm with six-speed transmission and E-Clutch.
  • CB650R is currently discontinued in India, but may return with new colour variants.

New Color Variants Introduced

The 2026 CB650R now comes in Candy Energy Orange and Matte Jeans Blue Metallic. These join the Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic colour, which was already available in Malaysia. Both new colour variants include a gold-finished inverted fork and updated paint finishes on the fuel tank.

The Candy Energy Orange option stands out as the more vibrant choice, while the Matte Jeans Blue Metallic offers a more subdued appearance. These additions provide a noticeable change from the previous black-only finish.

Mechanical Specifications Remain Unchanged

Honda has not made any mechanical changes to the CB650R for the 2026 model year. The motorcycle continues to use the 649cc, liquid-cooled, inline-four engine. This engine produces 93.8 HP and 64 Nm of torque. It is paired with a six-speed transmission and features Honda’s E-Clutch system, which enhances shifting convenience for riders.

Availability in India

Previously, Honda offered the CB650R in India through its Big Wing dealerships. However, the model is currently discontinued in the Indian market. The discontinuation likely resulted from the completion of allocated units for the year. Honda may reintroduce the CB650R in India with new colour options if the model returns to the market.

CarBike 360 Says

With the introduction of new colour options, the 2026 Honda CB650R continues to strengthen its appeal in the premium middleweight segment. While the mechanical package remains unchanged, the refreshed styling adds a new layer of desirability. For riders seeking a balance of performance, design, and everyday usability, the CB650R remains a compelling and well-rounded choice.
