Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has plans to apply for permit to launch the satellite internet services in India as well under the nemesis of Starlink. No comments by DoT and SpaceX has been made yet.

Elon Musk's SpaceX is poised to apply for a permit to launch satellite internet services in India under the Starlink name, becoming the third company to do so, according to the Economic Times on Wednesday.
According to the source, SpaceX will also seek legislative licenses from the government for landing rights and market access, as well as permission from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to establish local gateways.
SpaceX and the Department of Transportation did not respond to any of the requests for comments from Reuters after the usual work hours. The Indian government requested Starlink earlier this year to refund all pre-orders until it acquired licenses to operate in the nation.
According to the sources, SpaceX will "very shortly" apply to Indian authorities for a Global Mobile Personal Communications By Satellite (GMPCS) services licence. The permit has previously been submitted for the Bharti Group-backed OneWeb and Reliance Jio's satellite business.
