Hero Moto Corp’s Vida VX2 has made its entrance into the electric scooter market with an ex-showroom price of INR 59,490. The VX2 belongs under the BaaS (Battery as a Service) model where the customers pay for everything included in the scooter excluding the battery, as the battery is leased. When purchased under the plan, and the battery’s performance falls below 70%, the company will replace it free of charge. The VX2 is available in two variants, namely the VX2 Plus and VX2 Go.
Design
The Vida VX2’ design elements include smooth and flowing lines, a close-to-flat single-piece seat, a backrest for the pillion and a handlebar shroud, which makes the VX2 different from the Vida V2. The VX2 also features an accessory plastic frunk on the front apron.
Features
Other than the remote immobilisation and cloud connectivity, the Hero Vida VX2 Plus features a 4.3-inch TFT screen, while on the other hand, the VX2 Go has received a 4.3-inch LCD unit. The other features are seamless smartphone integration for real-time ride statistics, telemetry, and firmware Over-The-Air (FOTA) updates. Apart from these features, the Vida VX2 also has a fast charging facility that can charge the battery up to 80% in 60 minutes.
Battery and Range
The Hero Vida VX2 features two battery options, being the 2.2 kWh and the 3.4 kWh. The VX2 Go is said to feature a smaller battery capacity and claims a range of up to 92 km. The VX2 Plus receives a 3.4 kWh battery capacity and can deliver a range of up to 142 km on a single charge.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the Hero Vida V2X stands out as a smart, practical, and eco-friendly urban electric scooter that blends Hero’s trusted legacy with modern-day innovation. With its swappable batteries, intuitive tech features, and a focus on rider comfort and safety, the VX2 makes a compelling case for everyday commuters looking to make the shift to electric mobility without compromising on reliability or affordability.
