Honda 0 Alpha Electric SUV Spotted Testing Ahead of FY26-27 India Launch

Honda Cars India has started public road tests for its first electric vehicle for the domestic market, the 0 Alpha. New spy images reveal key interior and exterior features of this upcoming electric SUV, which will compete with the Hyundai Creta Electric.

Key Interior Features Revealed

The latest images show the 0 Alpha EV's cabin equipped with a hexagon-shaped steering wheel. The vehicle also features an auto-dimming interior rear-view mirror (IRVM) and paddle shifters for adjusting regenerative braking modes. Steering-mounted controls are present, and the second row includes sunshades for added comfort.

Exterior Design and Equipment

The 0 Alpha EV sports flush-fitting door handles and C-pillar-mounted rear door handles, which contribute to a modern look. The outside rear-view mirror (ORVM) housing is borrowed from the Honda Elevate. The rear of the vehicle features vertically stacked taillights, a rear wiper, an integrated spoiler with a high-mounted stop lamp, and a rear bumper with reflectors and a number plate recess.

The SUV rides on aero wheels finished in black. The front end includes projector headlamps, a blanked-off grille, and front parking sensors. These elements suggest a focus on aerodynamics and modern styling.

Production and Market Plans

Honda will manufacture the 0 Alpha electric SUV in India. The company plans to serve both the local market and export the model to multiple global regions. The automaker aims to introduce the 0 Alpha in India during the financial year 2026-27.
