Honda will launch the updated Elevate in India on 22 May. The facelift brings several changes to help the model compete with refreshed rivals. Spy images reveal new features such as a 360-degree camera, redesigned alloy wheels, updated lighting, and a new front design.
Key Highlights
- Honda Elevate facelift to launch in India on 22 May 2024
- Updates include 360-degree camera, new alloy wheels, and revised lighting
- Facelift adopts Honda’s latest global design language with modern exterior changes
- Interior upgrades expected with larger infotainment screen and advanced safety features
- Hybrid variant likely to use 1.5-litre engine from City e:HEV
Design and Exterior Changes

The Elevate will adopt Honda’s latest global design language. This approach is already seen on models like the Pilot, CR-V, and ZR-V. The facelifted Elevate will feature larger overhangs, a blacked-out grille, black alloy wheels, slimmer headlamps, and connected tail lamps. These updates aim to give the Elevate a more modern and premium appearance.
Interior and Feature Upgrades

Inside, the Elevate is expected to receive a larger infotainment screen and ventilated front seats. The addition of a 360-degree camera and an updated instrument cluster will enhance convenience and safety. Honda is also likely to update the ADAS package, introducing features such as rear cross-traffic alert and a more advanced automatic emergency braking system.
Given the Elevate’s position above the City in Honda’s lineup, more premium features are anticipated. These may include a powered driver’s seat and ambient lighting, further elevating the cabin experience for buyers.
Powertrain and Future Plans

Honda launched the Elevate in 2023 and hinted at an electric version for 2027. However, with changes to Honda’s EV strategy and the introduction of the 0 Alpha EV in India, a hybrid Elevate is now expected. This hybrid model will likely use the same 1.5-litre hybrid engine found in the City e:HEV.
The hybrid Elevate will compete with other hybrid SUVs in the segment. This move opens new opportunities for Honda in India’s growing hybrid vehicle market. The timing aligns with increasing consumer interest in hybrid technology.
Market Position and Competition
The facelifted Elevate will face competition from other updated SUVs in its class. With its new features and hybrid powertrain, Honda aims to strengthen its position in the segment. The launch on 22 May marks a significant step for Honda as it adapts to changing market demands and consumer preferences in India.
