Honda Transalp XL750 Special Edition Unveiled Globally
Honda's XL750 Transalp SP Special Edition blends 1980s-inspired vinyl graphics, gold rims, and premium guards with an unchanged 91 HP of performance.

Honda has recently unveiled the all-new special edition of the XL750 Transalp in the United Kingdom. This new model will be identical to the manual transmission variant of the Transalp, but offers a special retro livery and a few subtle protective accessories as standard. This limited-run model pays homage to the iconic Transalp lineage.
With the same design and power unit, the bike follows the current successor of the Honda XL750 SP. However, the special edition model features new special edition livery with premium accessories and decals for the racing enthusiast. The brand will kick off the deliveries in January 2026, priced at Rs 12.77 Lakh in India. Let’s take a closer look at the special edition of the Honda XL750 Transalp.
New Retro Livery Revealed
The SP's standout feature is a premium vinyl decal kit inspired by vintage Hondas, dominated by a crisp white base accented by bold red and blue graphics. Prominent 'Transalp' branding graces the 16.9-liter fuel tank, while 'SP' badges adorn the front fender and tank, evoking 1980s rally heritage. Gold-painted spoked wheel rims and an extended front mudguard amplify the throwback allure, making every glance a nod to Transalp's storied past.
Honda XL750 Transalp: Power Unit Specs

The bike will be powered by a liquid-cooled 755 cc parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crankshaft. This robust engine will generate 91 HP of power with 75 Nm of peak torque. Paired with a 6-speed gearbox, slip-assist clutch, and bi-directional quickshifter, it thrives on and off-road.
The bike also offers additional features like the throttle-by-wire, which enables five riding modes such as Sport, Standard, Rain, Gravel, and User. These modes can be customized via four engine power levels, three engine braking settings, switchable ABS, and five-stage Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) with wheelie mitigation.

Rugged Suspension Setup
With the retro design, the brand tries to offer more advanced features like 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels shod in adventure rubber. It is also equipped with Showa 43 mm SFF-CA upside-down forks up front and a Pro-Link rear monoshock that offers enhanced compression/rebound damping for rough terrains. Braking duties fall to dual 310 mm front wave discs with two-piston calipers and a 256 mm rear disc, backed by dual-channel ABS.
Refined Features With Premium Accessories

Standard accessories underscore adventure readiness: robust engine guards, front crash bars, and a bash plate shield the powerplant from trails and tumbles. A 5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity and NX500-derived switchgear provides intuitive control. At 208 kg kerb weight and 850 mm seat height, the ergonomics suit varied riders.
Will It Be Launching in the Indian Market?
While the UK-exclusive edition has been launched, the SP stirs excitement in India, where the standard XL750 Transalp commands Rs 11.80 lakh ex-showroom via BigWing outlets. Priced competitively against rivals, its retro flair could inspire localized variants, fueling demand among tourers eyeing Himalayan trails or coastal runs.
Conclusion
The Honda XL750 Transalp SP Special Edition masterfully fuses retro charm with trailblazing performance, beckoning adventure riders to chase horizons. Will this limited-edition icon redefine your next epic journey?
