Teaser Unveils Scrambler Spirit

In the teaser released by Husqvarna, the Svartpilen 901 is showcased skillfully maneuvering on a flat track, underscoring its scrambler nature. The minimalistic styling, a hallmark of Husqvarna, is evident in the protrusions near the top of the fuel tank, providing ample space for riders to tuck their legs in for a secure grip. All lighting elements, including the headlight, tail light, and turn indicators, boast cutting-edge LED technology.

Derived from the KTM 890 Duke R, the Svartpilen 901 shares significant components with its counterpart. The main frame and bolt-on aluminum subframe are identical, with a unique visual identity. The swingarm and exhaust routing from the engine mirrors the 890 Duke R. Notable features include dual disc brakes at the front with radial calipers, a single disc brake at the rear, an adjustable inverted fork from WP Suspension, and a mono-shock.

Power and Performance

Under the sleek exterior, the Svartpilen 901 is powered by the robust 889cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin cylinder engine, a powerhouse also found in the KTM 890 Duke R. Generating 121PS of power and 99Nm of torque, this scrambler promises an exhilarating riding experience.

International Launch with Uncertain Indian Presence

While the international launch is set for March 5, 2024, the possibility of the Svartpilen 901 gracing Indian roads remains uncertain. KTM's absence of big-capacity bikes like the 890 Duke R in the Indian market, coupled with Husqvarna's ongoing struggle to establish a strong foothold, suggests that the Svartpilen 901 may be a visual treat for Indian enthusiasts, at least for now.
