Hyundai is working on the new Hyundai Creta EV, which will likely go on sale in early 2025, as part of its efforts to increase the number of electric vehicles in its lineup. Rivals of the Creta EV include the Mahindra BE.05., MG Windsor, Tata Curvv, and Maruti eVX. The Creta EV's interiors were recently leaked, exposing a number of notable improvements.
Creta EV Interiors: What's New?
In terms of design, the internal combustion engine (ICE) version of the Creta EV has a flat-bottom steering wheel, whilst the EV version has a revamped 3-spoke circular steering wheel. The unique 'CRETA electric' logo on the seat fabric is another obvious upgrade that gives the interior a distinctive look.
While the layout appears largely unchanged, the Creta EV may come with fresh inside color schemes and dynamic ambient lighting options—features that were not apparent in the spy photos.
With notable design elements like the curved dashboard, the AC vents positioned horizontally, and the two 10.25-inch screens for the infotainment and instrument console, the front row layout is basically similar to that of the ICE Creta.
The test vehicle's central console is currently under development. It looks like the majority of the panel buttons were taken from the ICE Creta. Although the console's physical buttons make it more useful, they also somewhat distract from the interior's elegant design.
Equipment List: Features and Comfort
The Creta EV will share much of its equipment list with the ICE version.
Key features include
- Dual-tone interiors with leather-wrapped steering and gear knob
- 8-way power-adjustable driver seat
- Panoramic sunroof
- Dual-zone automatic climate control
- Front ventilated seats
Electric parking brake with auto-hold
Additionally, the gear selector is likely to be located on the stalk behind the steering wheel, similar to the Hyundai Ioniq 5, with a rotary dial for selecting traction control modes. Users will also have access to a wireless smartphone charger, cruise control, keyless entry, rear AC vents, and USB charging ports.
Advanced Safety and ADAS Features
Hyundai is expected to equip the Creta EV with a comprehensive safety package that includes:
- Six airbags
- Electronic stability control (ESC)
- Vehicle stability management (VSM)
- Hill start assist
- Rear disc brakes
- Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS)
Other notable features include automatic headlamps, a headlamp escort function, day and night IRVM, rear parking sensors and camera, front parking sensors, and an advanced ADAS suite with features like lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and collision warning systems.
