The Tata Curvv had its debut in the month of August 2024 as a stylish, coupe-inspired subcompact crossover SUV. The Curvv is currently available in petrol, diesel, and all-electric variants. The Curvv is built on Tata’s ATLAS and ACTi.EV platforms.
The Curvv’s exterior design features a coupe-like roofline, and the front fascia of the Curvv features a split-lighting setup, a connected LED DRL strip and a chrome-accented grille, vertically stacked LED headlights and fog lamps, and flush-fitting door handles. The additional design elements include a panoramic sunroof, dual-tone roof options, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
The interior design elements include a plush, tech-forward cabin with ventilated leatherette seats and a reclining rear bench. A benefit to the driver is the Curvv’s six-way power-adjustable seat and a four-spoke illuminated digital steering wheel. More of Curvv’s features are a large digital instrument cluster (up to 10.25 inches) and a top-spec 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, supporting wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and multiple voice assistants in six languages. The additional features are a nine-speaker JBL sound system, wireless charging, a cooled glovebox, rear AC vents, an air purifier, and a hands-free powered tailgate.
The safety features within the Curvv are six airbags, ABS with EBD, an electronic stability programme, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and three-point seatbelts for all occupants. The Curvv also features Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) with 20 features, including lane-keeping assistance, blind spot detection, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. The additional safety features include hill descent control, rear cross-traffic alert, a 360-degree camera, rain-sensing wipers, and automatic headlamps. The Curvv has also achieved a five-star rating in Bharat NCAP crash tests.
The Cruvv is available in multiple engine options, such as a 1.2-litre turbocharged engine which generates a power output of 119 bhp and a torque of 170 Nm. The other option is a new 1.2-litre Hyperion GDi turbo-petrol engine which generates a power output of 124 bhp and a torque of 225 Nm. Both petrol variants are paired with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The diesel option within the Curvv is a 1.5-litre Kyrotec diesel engine which generates a power output of 117 bhp and a torque of 260 Nm. The diesel option is also available in automatic and manual transmissions.
Tata Motors’ focus on innovation and customer-centric features positions the Curvv as a formidable contender against rivals in the compact SUV segment, making it a compelling choice for modern Indian families and enthusiasts alike.
