Hyundai Motor India Achieves Remarkable Sales Growth in January 2024

Korean automaker Hyundai Motor India has kicked off the new year with a bang, reporting exceptional sales figures for January 2024. Hyundai’s Highest Ever Monthly Sales in January 2024

The highlight of the month for Hyundai was the outstanding performance in domestic sales, reaching a record-breaking 57,115 units. This represents a substantial 13.99 percent year-on-year (YoY) growth from the 50,106 units sold in January 2023. Moreover, the month-to-month (MoM) growth from December 2023 was an impressive 33.60 percent, showcasing the company's strong market presence.

The surge in sales can be attributed to the recent launch of the new Hyundai Creta, which occurred earlier last month. The revamped model has clearly resonated with consumers, contributing significantly to Hyundai's stellar January performance.

Domestic Sales vs. Exports

While domestic sales experienced a robust YoY growth, Hyundai's export figures witnessed a dip of 13.72 percent. In January 2024, exports totaled 10,500 units, down from 12,170 units in the same month last year. The decline is also noticeable on a MoM basis, with December 2023 recording 13,700 units in exports.
