Hyundai has introduced a new HX8 diesel-automatic (AT) variant in the Venue range, priced at Rs 13.70 lakh (ex-showroom). Previously, the diesel-AT powertrain was only available on the top HX10 trim, which costs Rs 15.51 lakh. The addition of the HX8 variant makes the diesel-AT option more affordable by Rs 1.81 lakh.

Features and Equipment

The HX8 trim offers several premium features. These include ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, a 4-way powered driver’s seat, a sunroof, automatic air conditioning, 16-inch alloy wheels, leatherette upholstery, connected technology with over-the-air updates, drive and traction modes, and paddle shifters.
However, the HX8 misses out on some features found in the HX10. The higher trim includes an electrochromic inside rearview mirror (IRVM), front and side parking sensors, Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), dual 12.3-inch curved displays, and a Bose 8-speaker sound system. The HX8 comes with a 10.25-inch infotainment screen and a 4.2-inch color TFT digital instrument cluster.
Engine and Transmission Details
The Venue diesel variant uses a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder engine. This engine produces 116hp and 250Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. This diesel-AT combination is recognized as one of the leading diesel powertrains in the compact SUV segment.
Hyundai also offers the Venue diesel with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The manual option is available across more trims and a wider price range, providing buyers with additional flexibility.
