Recent Updates to Compass Sport
Over the past several months, the Jeep Compass Sport variant has seen two main updates. Around six to seven months ago, the base model came equipped with two airbags and 17-inch single-tone alloy wheels. Three weeks ago, Jeep introduced six airbags as standard for the Sport variant while retaining the 17-inch single-tone alloy wheels.
In April 2026, the Compass Sport received further enhancements. The latest update includes 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and a color instrument cluster. These changes were observed during a pre-delivery inspection by a recent customer, Shanmuga P Mayilvaganan. The waiting period for the updated model is about three months, and dealership staff were reportedly unaware of the new features at the time of delivery.
Key Features and Equipment

The updated Jeep Compass Sport now features 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, which were previously available only on higher variants like the Model-S. The base Sport variant also comes with a color multi-information display (MID) in the instrument cluster, although this was not illuminated in the available images. Six airbags are now standard, enhancing passenger safety.
Other notable features include LED reflector headlights, disc brakes on all four wheels, a rear washer and wiper, rear defogger, manual climate control, steering-mounted controls, and an infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. Comfort features include front and rear armrests, rear AC vents, adjustable headrests, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, and a puncture repair kit instead of a spare wheel.
Engine and Transmission
The Compass Sport variant continues to be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque. It is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. No changes have been made to the powertrain with the recent updates.

Conclusion
The latest update to the Jeep Compass Sport variant underlines Jeep’s intent to keep its popular compact SUV relevant and desirable in 2026. By packing in more features and equipment without diluting its core strengths of design and capability, the Sport trim now appeals strongly to value-conscious buyers who want an SUV that feels both tough and technologically up to date.
