Jeep Meridian Facelift Launch Timeline Officially Confirmed; All You Can Expect

Jeep Meridian Facelift: Jeep India has officially confirmed that the automaker will be launching the facelifted Meridian soon. However, the company has not confirmed the launch date for the SUV but has announced that the Jeep Meridian will make its India debut by the end of this year. Jeep Meridian Facelift: All You Can Expect

A recently spotted test mule of the facelifted Meridian hints that the SUV will arrive with ADAS tech. The SUV was spotted testing by Bosch, so there is a great probability that the SUV will be equipped with Bosch-sourced ADAS sensors.

Additionally, the SUV will come with significant design upgrades which include a new set of bumpers at both sides. The upcoming facelift is expected to retain all the electrical and lighting elements. Talking about the interior upgrades, the SUV is expected to come with new upholstery and some other new design elements.

2024 Jeep Meridian Powertrain

The facelifted Jeep Meridian will be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine. This is the same engine that powers the MG Hector, Jeep Compass, Hector Plus, Tata Harrier and Safari. Talking about the power figures, this engine is capable of generating 168 bhp of power and a peak torque of 350 Nm. The powerhouse comes mated to a 6-speed manual and 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. As usual, there will be no petrol engine option for the Jeep Meridian and obviously, it will be available with a 4X4 drivetrain.

2024 Jeep Meridian: Competitors in India

The Jeep Meridian facelift will maintain its rivalry with some popular SUVs in the Indian car market. It will go against the Gloster, Toyota Fortuner and forthcoming Ford Endeavour.
