The R40 is more than just another electric scooter. It is a statement of intent from one of India’s leading business firms. The new electric scooter will be developed and manufactured in the Ahmedabad facility, which is already operational. The R40 is set to become an accessible and reliable mobility choice for urban riders across the region.

Jindal R40 Electric Scooter: Design and Dimension

Jindal Mobility’s visionary plan with the R40 aims to deliver quality assurance, battery safety, and cost efficiency by integrating manufacturing and R&D fully in-house. The company has invested in developing its battery manufacturing unit so that the operator ensures safety and security standards to produce more electric vehicles in India.

As the e-scooter is still in the development stage, the technical specification remains under wraps until the final launch. The scooter will be designed to primarily focus on reliability and low running costs. The brand said that the scooter will be light in weight and will be suitable for daily commutes and longer rides.

What We Know So Far

The full specifications, including motor power, top speed, and charging time, are expected closer to the commercial launch as the model completes homologation. Jindal has established two major facilities at Ahmedabad. The first will be the full-scale vehicle manufacturing plant, where the brand stated that the plant will have a 2.5 lakh per year production capacity. The second will be an automated battery manufacturing unit.

Variants & Dealership Network

Currently, the upcoming R40 will be available through Jindal Mobility’s current network of 35 dealerships. However, the company has planned to expand its dealerships to 100 nationwide within the next year. As the company spokesperson said, “Electric mobility is the future of transportation, and our foray into EV production is a strategic and significant milestone for us. The R&D for R40 will be done in-house, and we are excited about its launch.”

Conclusion

The new Jindal electric scooter R40 will bring new competition to the market. As the brand reveals a serious EV commitment by an industrial legacy in-house production. So when the prices are revealed, the e-scooter might give tough competition to rivals such as Ampere, Okinawa, and Hero Electric.
