Kawasaki Unveils 2027 KX327 and KX327X two stroke off road motorcycles
Kawasaki expands its off-road lineup with the all-new KX327 and KX327X, bringing back two-stroke performance with modern engineering and rider-focused upgrades.

Kawasaki has announced two new off-road motorcycles for 2027, the KX327 and KX327X. Both models feature a newly developed 327cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, two-stroke engine. This marks Kawasaki’s first new two-stroke motorcycle above 250cc in over 20 years.

Engine and Chassis Details
The KX327 and KX327X use an aluminum perimeter frame derived from the KX450F. Each motorcycle has a claimed weight of 106 kg. The new fuel-injection system is designed to provide precise fueling in different temperatures and altitudes. Kawasaki states that the system maintains the sharp throttle response expected from a high-performance two-stroke engine.
Both models share the same engine and chassis but are intended for different types of riding. The KX327 targets motocross riders. It comes with a close-ratio five-speed gearbox and a 19-inch rear wheel. The KX327X is designed for cross-country and trail riding. It features a wide-ratio six-speed transmission, an 18-inch rear wheel, and a larger 8.3-litre fuel tank. Additional equipment on the KX327X includes handguards, a bash plate, a rear disc guard, and a side stand.
Suspension, Brakes, and Features
Suspension on both motorcycles is managed by a KYB 48mm USD fork at the front and Kawasaki’s Uni-Trak rear monoshock. Braking is handled by Nissin calipers with 270mm front and 240mm rear petal discs. Both the KX327 and KX327X are equipped with an electric starter and offer two selectable engine power modes.
Pricing and Availability
In the United States, the KX327 is priced at USD 9,099, which is approximately Rs. 8.71 lakh. The KX327X is priced at USD 9,699, or about Rs. 9.28 lakh. Kawasaki expects both models to be available for sale by the end of 2026.
