Similar to the EV6, the Kia EV9 is expected to enter the Indian market via the Completely Built-Up (CBU) route. Sources suggest that the base trim of the EV9 could be priced around Rs 80 lakh, positioning it as a premium electric SUV.

The Kia EV9 boasts impressive dimensions, measuring 5,015 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,780 mm in height. With a wheelbase of 3,100 mm, the SUV ensures spacious interiors and ample boot space. The design features bold sculpted paneling, cube LED headlamps, a closed-off grille, and a robust bumper, giving the EV9 a commanding street presence.
The side profile of the EV9 showcases polygonal wheel arches, sporty 21-inch alloy wheels, functional roof rails, and door-mounted ORVMs with integrated turn signals. The rear is adorned with star map LED tail lamps, a hidden rear wiper beneath the spoiler, and an overall clutter-free profile.
Inside the Kia EV9, a host of premium features awaits, including three-zone climate control, heated and ventilated seats, an automatic defog system, electronic rear-view mirror with full display, and a heated steering wheel. The interior space is highly customizable with turn second-row seats, intelligently designed storage spaces, and USB charging ports for all the passengers.
The EV9 is equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch driver display screen, and a 5.3-inch climate control screen. Tech-savvy features include a digital key, fingerprint recognition, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, USB-C ports, wireless phone charger, and over-the-air (OTA) updates. The SUV also offers a comprehensive range of active and passive safety features, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

The Kia EV9 offers users the flexibility to choose from three powertrain options. The base Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) variant comes with a 76.1 kWh battery and a 215 hp single electric motor, providing a range of approximately 230 miles. The long-range variant features a 99.8 kWh battery and a 201 hp single electric motor, offering an extended range of around 304 miles. Additionally, users can opt for the dual-motor variant, delivering 379 hp of maximum power and a range of 280 miles.
The Kia EV9 supports both fixed and portable charging options. Fast charging allows users to load 154 miles in just 15 minutes, and a 10% to 80% charge can be achieved in only 24 minutes with a fast charger. The SUV also features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, enabling users to charge various tools and equipment.
