Kia is preparing to introduce new variants of the Seltos in India, expanding its GTX and X-Line trims. The upcoming GTX (O) and X-Line (O) variants will offer additional features, including a head-up display and a dashboard camera. These enhancements follow the Seltos' recent achievements, such as its second-generation update in 2026, surpassing 600,000 sales, and earning a top BNCAP safety rating in the internal combustion engine (ICE) segment.
Key Highlights
- Kia Seltos to introduce new GTX (O) and X-Line (O) variants with added features
- Optional head-up display and dashboard camera expected in upcoming trims
- New variants will be priced above current GTX and X-Line but below ADAS-equipped models
- Seltos recently achieved 5-star BNCAP safety rating and 600000 sales milestone
New Variant Features and Options

The new GTX (O) and X-Line (O) variants will provide optional features not currently available in the India-spec Seltos. One key feature is a head-up display (HUD) integrated with the seat memory function. This HUD was previously available as an 8-inch unit in the earlier X-Line trim but is not present in current models. The dashboard camera, also offered in previous versions, is expected to be dealer-installed in the new variants.
These optional features aim to simplify the selection process for buyers. The GTX (O) and X-Line (O) variants will be priced slightly higher than the existing GTX and X-Line trims but will remain more affordable than the ADAS-equipped versions. Kia may also consider launching GTX (O) (A) and X-Line (O) (A) trims, which would become the new top-end options for the Seltos lineup.
Trim Highlights and Safety Features
The GTX variant of the Seltos includes several exclusive features. Exterior highlights are Ice Cube LED projector headlamps, R18 crystal cut alloy wheels, neon brake callipers, and auto reverse ORVMs. Inside, the GTX offers a 10-way powered driver seat with power lumbar support, an integrated memory system for the driver seat and ORVMs, a driver seat welcome retract function, and a relaxation power drive seat with one-touch memory.
The X-Line trim focuses on cosmetic enhancements. It features black painted 18-inch alloy wheels, robust front and rear skid plates, side door garnish, two-tone interiors with satin metal accents, and two-tone leatherette seats. The X-Line is available in exclusive Matte Graphite and Aurora Black Pearl exterior colors.
All these features will be available in the upcoming GTX (O) and X-Line (O) variants. The new-generation Seltos is built on the advanced K3 platform, which has improved its safety performance. The Seltos recently received a 5-star BNCAP rating and offers 24 standard safety features across all variants. These include six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), vehicle stability management, hill-start assist control (HAC), and all-wheel disc brakes. Additional safety features include rear parking sensors, a rollover sensor, a rearview camera with dynamic guidelines, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
