Hold onto your seats, folks, because the safety game in the Indian automotive arena just got its curtain raiser! The Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (Bharat NCAP) has stepped into the limelight, waving the flag for safer cars across the country.
With the NCAP website freshly baked and still in the oven of unveiling crash test scores, there's a whisper in the air about two SUVs lined up for the scrutiny - none other than the Kia Sonet and the punchy Tata Punch.
Remember that Kia Sonet? Well, it seems it’s about to take a dive into some serious crash testing waters! The spicy news on the Bharat NCAP's official site showcases snapshots of the Kia Sonet HTE variant getting the hard-hat treatment from the BNCAP team.
But wait, here's the plot twist – amidst the buzz and anticipation, guess who's been notably missing from the crash test party? That's right, Kia hasn’t exactly rolled any of their models onto the crash test ramp until now! It’s like they've been playing hide-and-seek with the safety spotlight, leaving enthusiasts wondering when Kia’s cards will finally hit the crash test table.
The Only Model Kia has sent for the GNCAP crash test was Kia Seltos where it scored 3 stars. However none of its other models available in India has passed through the crash test programme.
If Kia announces the BNCAP Crash Test Rating During the launch of Kia Sonet Facelift 2024, which is speculated, it would be quite an achievement for Kia Brand.
This new chapter, authored by Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, has not only opened the gates for safer rides but has also closed the curtain on Global NCAP's 'Safest Cars for India' campaign.
So, while the world waits on the edge of their seats for the crash test scores to flash on the screen, the stage is set, the cars are lined up, and the safety show is about to begin!
