Reservations for Kia India's newest subcompact SUV, the Kia Syros, will open today at 12:00 AM. In order to reserve the car, potential purchasers must pay ₹25,000. With its cutting-edge features and look, the Syros, which sits between the Kia Sonet and Seltos, seeks to revolutionize the sub-4-meter SUV market.
The Kia Syros is projected to go on sale in India on January 17, 2025, with prices starting at about ₹9.49 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India).
Kia Syros: A New Contender in the Subcompact SUV Segment
The sub-4-meter SUV segment in India is highly competitive, with manufacturers continually introducing models that offer a blend of performance, features, and value. The Kia Syros enters this arena with the ambition to set new benchmarks.
Engine Options
The Kia Syros offers two engine choices:
- 1.0-liter Turbo Petrol: Delivers 118 bhp and 172 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT).
- 1.5-liter Diesel: Produces 114 bhp and 250 Nm of torque, available with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic torque converter gearbox.
Variant Breakdown
The Kia Syros is available in six variants, each tailored to meet diverse customer preferences:
HTK:
- Exterior: Halogen headlights, 15-inch steel wheels, shark fin antenna, silver front and rear skid plates.
- Interior: Dual-tone grey and black semi-leatherette upholstery, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, reverse camera with dynamic guidelines, power mirrors and windows, rear AC vents, door curtains, four USB-C charging ports.
- Safety: Six airbags, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Start Assist.
HTK (O):
- Exterior: 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels (diesel only), auto-folding power mirrors, roof rails, passenger side seat-back pocket.
- Interior: Single-pane sunroof, height-adjustable driver’s seat, auto-folding ORVMs, two tweeters.
HTK Plus:
- Exterior: 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, blue and grey dual-tone upholstery.
- Interior: Split-folding rear seat with recline function, cruise control, push-button start, follow-me-home headlamp function, drive modes, electric parking brake.
HTX:
- Exterior: LED headlamps and tail lamps, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob.
- Interior: Front ventilated seats, rear wiper, one-touch function for all windows, paddle shifters (automatic variant).
HTX Plus:
- Exterior: 17-inch alloy wheels, puddle lamps, dual-tone grey and orange cabin, sporty pedals, 64-color ambient lighting.
- Interior: Digital instrument cluster, climate control, Harman Kardon sound system, Kia Connect, air purifier, dashboard camera with mobile app, rear disc brakes, automatic IRVM, wireless charger, rear ventilated seats.
HTX Plus (O):
Interior: Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), 360-degree camera, dual-camera dashcam.
