  • Skoda Kodiaq RS to be officially revealed on 22 June
  • RS variant features 261 HP and 400 Nm from a 2.0-litre TSI engine
  • 0-100 km/h acceleration achieved in 6.3 seconds
  • 20-inch Hankook tyres and red brake callipers indicate CBU status
  • Interior includes leather upholstery with red stitching and a 13-inch infotainment screen

Exterior and Design Updates

The Kodiaq RS was seen in a striking red color, featuring VRS badges on the grille, front seats, and rear. The front end now appears sportier, with a signature RS grille similar to the Octavia RS, but with a larger air vent area unique to the RS. The vehicle rides on 20-inch Hankook tires, indicating that it is a completely built unit (CBU), unlike the standard Kodiaq assembled in India. The RS also gets signature alloy wheels with red brake callipers, further distinguishing it from other variants.

Inside, the Kodiaq RS sports leather upholstery with red stitching, adding to its sporty appeal. The 13-inch infotainment screen remains a key feature, offering advanced connectivity and entertainment options for occupants.

Performance and Powertrain

The Kodiaq RS uses the same 2.0-liter TSI engine paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox as the standard model. However, the RS version delivers significantly more power. While the standard Kodiaq produces 201 HP of power and 320 Nm of torque, the RS variant generates 261 HP and 400 Nm of torque. This increase in output allows the Kodiaq RS to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds.

The enhanced performance, combined with the seven-seater configuration, positions the Kodiaq RS as the most powerful offering in its segment if priced competitively. The RS badge signifies not only visual upgrades but also a substantial improvement in driving dynamics and overall capability.

Expected Market Impact

With its upgraded engine, distinctive styling, and premium features, the Skoda Kodiaq RS aims to attract buyers seeking a high-performance SUV with ample space. The use of CBU import status and unique equipment sets it apart from the standard locally assembled Kodiaq. The official launch on 22 June will provide further details on pricing and availability.

CarBike 360 Says

With its sportier styling, performance-focused upgrades, and premium feature set, the Skoda Kodiaq RS is shaping up to be a compelling offering in the performance SUV segment. As the official launch on 22 June approaches, expectations remain high for a model that blends practicality with driving excitement, further strengthening Skoda’s presence in the premium SUV space.
