Kia has fully revealed the Syros EV ahead of its India launch. The compact electric SUV will be available with two battery pack options and features an ARAI-certified range of up to 526 km. The company has shared key specifications, design details, features, battery options, and charging capabilities.

Battery Options and Performance

The Kia Syros EV offers a choice between a 51.4 kWh and a 42 kWh battery pack. The larger 51.4 kWh battery produces 170 HP and 255 Nm of torque, delivering a claimed range of 526 km. The smaller 42 kWh battery develops 135 HP with the same torque output and offers a range of 443 km.

Kia states that the Syros EV can charge from 10 to 80 percent in 39 minutes using a 100 kW DC fast charger. The vehicle also supports AC charging at up to 11 kW.

Design and Exterior Features

The Syros EV maintains the upright silhouette of its internal combustion engine sibling. It receives EV-specific design elements, including Kia's Digital Tiger Face, aero alloy wheels, flush door handles, Star Map LED lighting, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.

Interior and Technology

Inside, the Syros EV features digital displays that integrate the instrument cluster, touchscreen, and climate control system. The cabin includes ventilated front and rear seats, a Harman Kardon eight-speaker audio system, wireless phone charging, a powered driver's seat, and sliding and reclining rear seats. The vehicle also offers vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality.

Safety and Driver Assistance

Safety equipment on the Syros EV includes six airbags, a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, and a dual-camera dashcam. The X-Line variant comes with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), offering 16 driver assistance features.
