Mahindra XUV700 MX 7 Seater: Mahindra has launched a new and more affordable 7-seater variant of its most loved SUV, XUV700. The automaker has unveiled a new MX 7-seater to stay competitive in the 7-seater SUV segment and to make its flagship more affordable for its customers. The new MX 7 seater variant is priced strategically to give XUV700 an edge over its rivals in the market. If we compare the new 7 seater variant with the AX3 7 seater variant, it costs 3 lakh less.
Mahindra XUV700 New Variant Features
Everything inside the cabin and under the hood is the same as the Mahindra XUV700 MX 5-seater model. With the same mechanicals and interiors, the new variant costs around Rs 40000 more because of its 7-seater layout. On the feature front, the Mahindra XUV 700 MX 7 seater variant comes equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple Car Play and Android Auto, four speakers, multiple USB ports, analogue dials, follow-me-home headlamps, powered ORVMs, ISOFIX anchors, tilt adjustable steering and centre armrest with storage.
Other features of the new XUV700 MX 7-seater variant include a second-row centre armrest, third-row AC vents and 60:40 tumble function like other seven-seater trims in the lineup. The variant in the same colour options is available for the MX 5 seater variant, including Everest White, Dazzling Red, Napoli Black, Midnight Black and Red Rage.
Mahindra XUV700 MX 7-Seater Engine
As far as the power is concerned, the new 7-seater variant comes powered by the same 2.2-litre diesel engine mated with a 6-speed manual gearbox. This powerhouse generates the maximum power of 156hp. Mahindra could also offer the more powerful 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine for the new 7-seater variant as it is already available with the 5-seater option.
XUV700 MX 7 Seater Variant: Rivals
Mahindra has become more competitive with the launch of a new 7-seater variant of its flagship SUV. The automaker is probably rearranging its XUV700 lineup with the introduction of some new top-end and entry-level variants. Recently, a new XUV 700 Blaze Edition was introduced and now the MX-7 seater has come, this enhances consumer choices and makes the automaker’s lineup more competitive.
Talking about the straight rivals, the new 7-seater variant will compete with the likes of MG Hector Plus and Tata Safari in the Indian auto market. In a nutshell, Mahindra has given an edge to its full-size SUV lineup with the new variant.
CarBike360 Says
Mahindra's introduction of the MX 7-seater variant for the XUV700 is a strategic move aimed at bolstering its competitiveness in the crowded 7-seater SUV segment. While maintaining core features and mechanics from the 5-seater model, the MX variant offers added versatility at a relatively affordable price point. This expansion of options underscores Mahindra's commitment to meeting diverse consumer needs and enhances its position in the market.
