Mahindra is preparing to unveil the facelifted Scorpio-N, with major updates confirmed for the SUV's interior. The company has a history of making significant announcements on 15 August, India's Independence Day, and this year’s focus could be the refreshed Scorpio-N. Recent sightings of an undisguised test vehicle have revealed the most detailed look at the upcoming changes.

  • The Mahindra Scorpio-N facelift will feature a new 10.25-inch infotainment system and digital instrument cluster.

The facelifted Mahindra Scorpio-N will introduce a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is larger than the current unit. This new system is positioned atop the dashboard and is complemented by physical buttons below, a layout similar to the one found in the Roxx. The instrument cluster has also been upgraded to a fully digital display, replacing the previous semi-digital setup.

The panoramic sunroof appears to have grown in size, offering a more expansive view. The centre air vents have shifted to a horizontal layout, marking a subtle but notable change. Despite these updates, several elements remain unchanged. The dashboard control buttons, gear lever, and USB ports are carried over from the previous model. The tan interior theme and the steering wheel design also remain the same.

Exterior and Mechanical Details

Exterior changes to the Scorpio-N facelift are expected to be minimal. The SUV may receive minor styling tweaks and possibly new colour options, but there will be no major design overhaul. The last significant update for the Scorpio-N occurred in June 2025, when Mahindra introduced advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and launched the Z8T variant. This variant added features such as a Sony stereo system, front camera, powered and cooled front seats, and an electronic parking brake.

Mechanically, the Scorpio-N facelift will continue with the same engine options. Buyers can expect the 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines to remain available. Both engines will be paired with six-speed manual and torque converter automatic gearboxes, maintaining the current powertrain lineup.

Launch Timing and Expectations

The timing of the facelift aligns with four years since the Scorpio-N's launch and one year after its last major update. Mahindra’s tradition of using Independence Day for key announcements suggests the official reveal could take place on 15 August. The focus of this update is clearly on enhancing the in-cabin experience, with exterior and mechanical aspects largely unchanged.

These updates are likely to strengthen its position in the competitive SUV segment, making it a more compelling choice for buyers seeking both technology and practicality in one package.
