Mahindra Thar 5-Door: Sunroof, roof speakers, tech upgrade. Powerful engines for off-road. Exciting blend of comfort and performance.

Mahindra Thar 5-Door Spotted: New Interior Features Revealed
  • Possible sunroof for luxury off-road vibes.
  • Roof speakers for immersive in-cabin audio.
  • Larger touchscreen, new steering wheel.
  • Maintains strong engine options.

Sunroof, Speakers, and More: Interior Details Revealed in Latest Spy Shots

The anticipation for the Mahindra Thar 5-door continues to build as the spy shots of the upcoming SUV's interior have surfaced, showcasing some of the exciting features. The 5-door variant, an extension of the popular Thar model, promises an enhanced driving experience with a range of new additions.

Sunroof Option Takes Center Stage

In the latest round of the spy images, the Thar 5-door can be seen sporting a sunroof, hinting at a potential option for the buyers. The addition of a sunroof not only adds a touch of luxury but also aligns with the growing trend of panoramic views in off-road vehicles. This feature is expected to serve those seeking a blend of adventure and comfort in their off-road journeys.

Roof-Mounted Speakers Similar to Scorpio N and XUV700

Observing the spy shots closely, it's evident that Mahindra is elevating the audio experience within the Thar 5-door. The roof of the test car reveals a pair of speakers, a design that's reminiscent of the Scorpio N and XUV700. This audio enhancement suggests that the automaker is keen on providing the occupants with a more immersive and enjoyable in-cabin atmosphere.

Larger Touchscreen and Updated Steering Wheel

Mahindra is set to revamp the Thar 5-door's infotainment system, with a larger touchscreen that’s expected to replace the current 7-inch unit that’s found in the 3-door version. Industry insiders speculate that the SUV might feature a generous 10-inch head unit, offering the users a more expansive and user-friendly interface. In addition to the touchscreen upgrade, the spy images showcase a redesigned steering wheel, adding a fresh look to the Thar's cabin.

Engine Options Mirror the 3-Door Variant

Underneath the revamped interior, the Thar 5-door is set to maintain the same powerful engine options as its 3-door counterpart. Buyers can expect the choice between a 2.2-litre diesel engine, delivering 130 BHP of power and 300 Nm of torque, and a 2.0-litre petrol engine, producing 150 BHP of power and 300-320 Nm of torque. Both engines will likely be paired with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions, providing versatility for various driving preferences.

CarBike360 Says:

As Mahindra continues to fine-tune the Thar 5-door, these interior glimpses suggest that the SUV is geared up not only for off-road prowess but also for a heightened driving experience with added comfort and technology. Auto enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the official launch to experience firsthand the culmination of these exciting upgrades in Mahindra's iconic Thar lineup.
