Mahindra XUV700 Electric (XEV 7e) Launch Timeline & Specifications
The leaked images reveal that the Mahindra XEV 7e will share design elements with the XEV 9e, borrowing the original styling details from its ICE counterpart.
Mahindra & Mahindra, India's leading SUV brand, introduced flagship BE 6 and XEV 9e all-electric SUVs in January 2025. India's leading SUV brand is now gearing up to launch the electric version of the XUV 700 SUV with more range and attractive features. According to industry reports, the Mahindra XUV700 (XEV 7e) electric is expected to arrive in the second half of 2025. Before its official launch, images of a production-ready version surfaced on the web, highlighting some details about the exterior of this upcoming electric SUV in India.

The leaked images reveal that the Mahindra XEV 7e will share design elements with the XEV 9e, borrowing the original styling details from its ICE counterpart. The front profile would feature LED headlamps with a split setup, inverted L-shaped connected LED DRLs, and a blacked-out grille, similar to the Mahindra XEV 9e.
Unlike regular alloy wheels, the all-new XEV 7e would have aero-optimized alloy wheels and XUV700-like flush-fitting door handles, contrast ORVM, updated skid plates, and LED light bars. The electric version of the Mahindra XUV700 would be offered in a dual-tone black and white cabin with white seat upholstery, as spotted in recent spy images.
A three-screen configuration can be offered in Mahindra's upcoming EV, as seen in XEV 9e: one for the driver display, one for infotainment, and one for the front passenger. There could also be a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Infiniti logo, similar to the ICE version of the XUV700.
The official feature list of the Mahindra XEV 7e will be unveiled at its launch. Still, it's expected to get VisionX HUD, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, a panoramic sunroof, power front seats, tire pressure monitoring, EBS, and Level 2 ADAS.
Mahindra is likely to offer similar powertrain options as available in its XEV 9e. Currently, XEV 9e is offered in two battery pack options, 59kWh and 79kWh, with a range of 542 km and 656 km, respectively. The upcoming Mahindra XUV700 electric can also receive an optional AWD system.
