Three Maruti Suzuki vehicles were recently crash-tested, and it was determined that none of the vehicles were safe. The Maruti Suzuki Swift, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, and Maruti Suzuki Espresso fall under this category. Although Maruti Suzuki is the nation's top-selling automaker, the majority of its models fall short when it comes to safety. And after the Global NCAP rating of these cars has been out in the open, it has been proven now that none of these vehicles are safe at all.
In the Global NCAP crash test, each of these three received just one star. The Swift received one star for child occupant protection, while the Ignis and S-Presso received zero stars. All three vehicles received one star for adult occupant protection.
Maruti Suzuki Swift Safety Rating
For the driver and passenger, the Maruti Suzuki Swift offers acceptable head and neck protection, but inadequate chest protection. Only 19.19 out of 34 points were earned by the Swift in the adult protection category, earning it a single star. Swift only received 18.68 out of a possible 49 points in the kid occupant protection category, earning it a score of 0 stars.
Maruti Suzuki Ignis Safety Rating
Maruti Ignis received 1 star in the adult protection segment with a score of 16.48 out of 34. The driver's chest has gotten inadequate protection, but the passenger's head and neck are well protected. The Ignis has a 3.86 out of 49 possible points, or a 0-star rating, for child occupant protection.
Maruti Suzuki S-Presso Safety Rating
The Maruti S-Presso received a score of 20.03 out of a possible 34, earning it a single star for adult occupant protection. While the driver's chest was determined to provide inadequate protection, the driver's head and neck received good protection. For child occupant protection, the S-Presso receives 0 stars and 3.52 out of a possible 49 points.
