Recent leaks have unveiled the upcoming facelift of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, India's top-selling sedan across segments. Set to debut next month, the 2024 Dzire showcases substantial exterior and interior updates. The current model, available in petrol and CNG versions, starts at ₹6.57 lakh (ex-showroom). This update intends to maintain the Dzire's competitive edge in the market. The Dzire facelift will compete against models like the Tata Tigor, Honda Amaze, and Hyundai Aura.

Exterior changes for the 2024 Dzire include:

  • A redesigned front fascia with a new grille
  • Sharper LED headlight units with DRLs
  • Flatter front profile, moving away from the current rounded look
  • Strong character lines across the body
  • New alloy wheel design
  • Refreshed taillights
  • Possible addition of an electric sunroof

The overall design language appears to diverge from that of the recently launched Swift, suggesting a distinct identity for the sedan.

Inside, the updated Dzire will feature a revamped cabin with:

  • Dual-tone color scheme
  • Reworked dashboard layout
  • Floating touchscreen infotainment system (likely similar to the new Swift)
  • Semi-digital driver display
  • 360-degree camera system
  • Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility
  • Automatic climate control
  • Wireless charging capability
  • Rear passenger AC vents

Talking about the engine specifications, the 2024 Dzire is expected to introduce the new Z-series petrol engine, which recently debuted in India with the new Swift. This 1.2-litre three-cylinder unit is anticipated to deliver approximately 80 bhp of power and 112 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options are likely to include a five-speed manual and a five-speed automatic gearbox.

As the launch approaches, the updated Maruti Suzuki Dzire aims to strengthen its position in the competitive sub-compact sedan segment. With its combination of fresh styling, enhanced features, and proven powertrain, the facelifted model seeks to appeal to a wide range of consumers looking for a compact yet well-equipped sedan.
