Maruti Suzuki has launched the Eeco Star Edition in India, priced at Rs 19,999 above the standard model. The new edition aims to attract private buyers by offering a more premium look and additional features. Maruti Suzuki remains the leading mass market van manufacturer in India, with the Eeco selling over 10,000 units each month.
Key Highlights
- Maruti Suzuki launches Eeco Star Edition at Rs 19,999 above standard price
- Star Edition includes 18 accessories and exclusive body coloured bumpers
- Eeco offers petrol and CNG options with up to 81 bhp and 19.71 km/l efficiency
Star Edition Features and Pricing

The Eeco Star Edition comes with a bundle of 18 accessories, enhancing both the exterior and interior. The accessory pack includes a rear spoiler, fog lamps with garnish, interior styling kits, seat covers, stylish wheel covers, chrome emblem, door visors, and mud flaps. The Star Edition is available in two colours: Metallic Brisk Blue and Metallic Glistening Grey. Body-coloured bumpers at both ends are exclusive to this edition, giving it a more premium appearance compared to the standard Eeco.
The Star Edition accessory bundle is priced at Rs 19,999, significantly lower than the previous Star Edition, which cost Rs 37,000. This price reduction is expected to make the package more appealing to buyers. The accessories are likely to be installed at the dealer level rather than at the factory. It is unclear if the bundle is available for all Eeco variants or if existing owners can purchase it separately for Rs 19,999.
Eeco Specifications and Options
The Maruti Suzuki Eeco is priced between Rs 5.21 lakh and Rs 6.36 lakh (ex-showroom). It is offered with both petrol and CNG powertrain options. Both variants use a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, delivering up to 81 bhp and 105.5 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The Eeco features manually sliding doors for easy access. It is built on a ladder frame chassis and uses a rear-wheel-drive layout. The van offers a fuel efficiency of up to 19.71 km/l with petrol and 26.78 km/kg when using the petrol plus CNG bi-fuel option. These features make the Eeco suitable for both commercial and private use.
Maruti Suzuki has not specified if the Star Edition accessories can be added to all Eeco variants, such as the 5 Seater Standard, 5 Seater AC, or 6 Seater Standard. Details about availability for current owners remain unconfirmed.
