Maruti Suzuki India Limited set a new monthly sales record in April 2026, dispatching 2,39,646 units across all segments. This marks a significant rise from the 1,79,791 units sold in April 2025. The growth was led by strong domestic demand and robust export performance.

Domestic Sales Reach All-Time High

In April 2026, Maruti Suzuki achieved its highest-ever domestic sales with 1,91,122 units, up from 1,42,053 units a year earlier. Including sales to other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), total domestic volume reached 1,99,592 units, compared to 1,51,880 units in April 2025.
The domestic passenger vehicle segment saw broad-based growth, ending the month at 1,87,704 units, up from 1,38,704 units in the previous year. Within this segment, passenger car sales increased to 96,725 units from 68,244 units. Compact and mid-size cars accounted for 80,659 units.
Utility vehicle sales rose to 77,892 units, compared to 59,022 units in April 2025. The van segment, represented by the Eeco model, recorded 13,087 units, up from 11,438 units last year. In the commercial vehicle space, Maruti Suzuki sold 3,418 units of the Super Carry light commercial vehicle, a slight increase from 3,349 units in April 2025.
Export and OEM Sales Performance
Maruti Suzuki's export shipments reached 40,054 units in April 2026, a substantial increase from 27,911 units in the same month last year. However, sales to other OEMs declined to 8,470 units, down from 9,827 units in April 2025.
The company also reported a 72 percent surge in electric vehicle dispatches, supporting its overall monthly performance. Despite global supply chain disruptions, Maruti Suzuki maintained strong domestic truck demand, dispatching 6,018 units during the month. These results highlight Maruti Suzuki's ability to grow both in domestic and international markets, even amid challenging conditions.
