2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift: Maruti Suzuki has finally launched the fourth generation Swift in India. The hatchback now comes with some newly added features inside and out. The new 2024 Swift has arrived with some major enhancements on the safety front as it gets 6 airbags as standard. Apart from this, the hatchback has also got some major design and mechanical changes which will make it stand out in the respective segment. Curious to know more about Japanese beauty? Check out more details below.
As mentioned above, the 2024 Swift has received some significant cosmetic upgrades on the exteriors and interiors. The India spec Swift will get almost a similar design to the one launched in the Japanese market.
Talking about the notable upgrades, the new Swift now comes with a revised grille with black treatment, bi-functional LED headlamps and DRLs. The hatchback gets the same design at the rear with a tweaked tail light. The rear door has been positioned back to the traditional spot i.e. on rear doors. Additionally, the hatchback now gets Boomerang DRLs, a Wraparound shoulder line and the signature C-shaped LED tail lamp signature. The side profile upgrades on the hatchback include new diamond-cut 15-inch alloy wheels.
The new Swift is now fully loaded with some new features such as a new digital instrument cluster, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play. It is worth noting that the top-end models of the new-gen Swift feature a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 360-degree camera, wireless charging and rear AC vents.
The 2024 Swift is more advanced with the integration of Suzuki SmartPlay Pro+ which enables 40+ connected features. It also gets Android Auto and Apple Car Play support, a 4.2-inch MID, a wide-angle reverse camera and a wireless charger.
The new-gen Swift comes with some major improvements on the safety front. The hatchback features 6 airbags as standard, Cruise control, Electronic Stability Program, Hill Hold Assist, 3-point seatbelts, LED front fog lamps and ISOFIX mounts for child safety.
Maruti Suzuki has made some major changes in the mechanicals as well. The new Swift gets an all-new Z-Series 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine. Additionally, the mild-hybrid unit will be mated to a five-speed manual and a five-speed AMT unit. The new powertrain can produce 81.58 bhp of power and 111.7 Nm of torque, which is less than the outgoing model but with higher fuel efficiency.
Maruti has strategically priced the 2024 Swift this time. The hatchback starts at Rs. 6.49 lakh and goes up to Rs. 9.64 lakh for the top-end ZXi+ dual tone variant. The new Swift competes with the likes of Nissan Magnite and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios in the segment.
