Mercedes-Benz India has confirmed the launch of a new Collector's Edition in India. The Germany-based luxury car manufacturer has announced that the Mercedes-AMG G63 Collector's Edition will be "India Inspired", paying tribute to the country's rich tapestry and landscape.

Mercedes-Benz India hasn't revealed more details about the upcoming India-inspired AMG G63 SUV. Still, it has been confirmed that the Indian team of Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-Benz Research and Development will configure the model. It's the first time that the luxury car brand has announced the launch of an India-focused special edition on June 12. This Mercedes-Benz AMG G63 can feature bespoke upholstery options and unique exterior and interior packages inspired by Indian themes and aesthetics.
The Collector's Edition from Mercedes-Benz can be similar to the upcoming Range Rover Himalayan Edition, which is also said to be an India-special model. With its upcoming India-inspired AMG G63, Mercedes-Benz aims to target high-end luxury car buyers looking for exclusivity and collection-worthy models. The AMG G63 is already a popular luxury SUV in the market, and with its special edition, it will surely get a promising response from customers.
Mercedes-Benz AMG G63: Expected to Have Same Mechanical Features
Compared to regular models in the AMG G63 lineup, the Collector's Edition will have only cosmetic and feature upgrades, while the mechanical specifications will remain unchanged. The Mercedes-Benz SUV has a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 48V mild hybrid technology, producing 585 horsepower and 850 nm of torque. The mild hybrid tech adds 22 hp of extra power output to boost the vehicle's performance. The engine unit is paired with a 9-speed DCT automatic gearbox with paddle shifters, sending power to all four wheels through the 4Matic system.
Currently, the showroom price of the Mercedes-AMG G63 India Inspired Edition is not confirmed, but it's expected that the SUV can be priced at a premium end than regular models, which are available from Rs 3.64 crore, ex-showroom.
