Mercedes-Benz reveals VLE electric van
Mercedes-Benz has launched the all-electric VLE van, offering over 700km range, rapid charging, flexible seating for eight, advanced Superscreen dashboard, and rear-axle steering for a 10.9-meter turning circle. Multiple trim options are available.

Mercedes-Benz introduced the all-electric VLE on Tuesday. The VLE is the production version of the Vision V concept. It serves as a van counterpart to the E-Class sedan. The VLE will sit below the more luxurious VLS, which is expected to debut later this year.

Mercedes-Benz will offer both standard and long-wheelbase versions of the VLE. Buyers can choose between the standard model, AMG Line, AMG Line Plus, and Exclusive variants. These options provide flexibility for different customer preferences.
Interior Features and Technology
The VLE features an eight-seat layout that can be configured in several ways. Electric seats can be adjusted using the touchscreen or a smartphone app. The center console includes a compartment for keeping beverages warm or cold. It also offers UV disinfection for added convenience.
The dashboard incorporates the brand’s Superscreen setup. This system combines the driver’s display, central touchscreen, and a passenger screen across the dashboard. This design aims to enhance the user experience for both drivers and passengers.
Performance and Efficiency
Mercedes-Benz claims the VLE can travel over 700 kilometers on a full charge. A 15-minute charge can add 355 kilometers of range. This rapid charging capability supports long-distance travel and reduces downtime.
The van includes air suspension and rear-axle steering. The rear-axle steering offers up to seven degrees of movement. This feature helps the VLE achieve a tight turning circle of 10.9 meters (curb-to-curb). Mercedes-Benz states this is comparable to the CLA sedan.
