Key Specifications and Features

The China-spec GLC EV LWB is not only longer by 88mm but also taller by 66mm compared to the regular model. It comes with an 85.5kWh battery pack and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. The standard CLTC-claimed range is 680km, which can increase to 703km with future upgrades. In comparison, the standard GLC EV has a larger 94kWh battery and a combined output of 489hp and 800Nm. The standard model offers a WLTP-rated range of up to 715km.
The long-wheelbase GLC EV supports DC fast charging up to 320kW. This allows the battery to charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in 22 minutes. Mercedes-Benz states that the chassis is derived from the S-Class, and the steel dampers provide comfort similar to air suspension. Air suspension and rear axle steering are available as optional features.
Design, Interior, and Safety

Exterior changes include larger rear doors, windows, and quarter panels. The lighting, grille, and bumpers remain identical to the standard model. Inside, the main difference is the 2+2+2 seating arrangement. The second row offers power adjustment, heating, ventilation, and massage functions, similar to the front row. Other interior features include a 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen and a fixed panoramic glass roof with nine transparency levels.
For safety, the GLC EV LWB is equipped with 11 airbags, a 360-degree camera, advanced driver assistance systems, and a dedicated escape route for the six-seater version.
Market Availability
Mercedes-Benz has not confirmed if the GLC EV LWB will launch in India. However, the brand already offers long-wheelbase versions of the E-Class, GLE, and V-Class in the country. Currently, only the internal combustion engine-powered GLC is available in India.
