Recently, MG released a teaser video inviting viewers to guess the name of the upcoming EV using jumbled letters. However, trademarks filed by MG have already confirmed the name as Windsor EV. The official announcement is scheduled for August 5, when MG will reveal more details about this new model.

Battery Options and Range

Internationally, the Windsor EV, known as the Wuling Cloud EV, offers two battery pack options: a 37.9kWh battery with a range of 360 km and a 50.6kWh battery providing a range of 460 km. It is powered by a front-axle-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor delivering 134hp. However, MG has yet to confirm which specific battery configuration will be available in India.

Design and Features

The Windsor EV, despite having the look of an MPV, is essentially a large hatchback accommodating five passengers across two rows. This “CUV” design is both practical and stylish, aiming to attract a wide range of buyers looking for versatility and modern aesthetics.
