Most Selling Car Brands In India: February 2025 Report
Skoda records 147.7% YoY growth, while Mahindra inches closer to the No. 2 spot. Hyundai sees a decline as market trends shift. Read the full sales report.

After a long time Hyundai lost its second spot in the most selling car brand in India. Over the year Mahindra is showing tremendous growth and so it is reasonable to expect second spot. The SUV lineup of Mahindra has become very strong and dominant in the market. Apart from that Skoda has shown nice growth with the newly launched model Skoda Kylaq.

- Skoda was the fastest-growing brand, increasing by 147.7% (5,583 units vs. 2,254 in Feb 2024).
- Mahindra grew by 18.9% (50,420 units), and Kia increased by 23.9% (25,026 units).
- Toyota had steady growth of 13.4% (26,414 units).
Brands That Struggled
- Renault (-34.4%), Citroen (-36.3%), and Honda (-21.4%) saw big sales drops.
- Hyundai (-4.9%) and Tata (-9.4%) also reported lower sales.

- Maruti Suzuki remained the top brand but lost 0.8% market share (42.2% in Feb 2025 vs. 43.1% in 2024).
- Mahindra (+1.9%), Kia (+1.1%), and Skoda (+0.9%) gained the most.
- Tata (-1.6%), Hyundai (-1%), and Renault (-0.4%) lost market presence.
- Volkswagen (0.8%), Jeep (0.1%), and Citroen (0.1%) remained stable.
