Renault has just unveiled the all-new Duster in the Indian market, their legendary mid-size SUV that is aimed to dominate the segment. The Renault Duster has now been introduced with a list of upgrades. Whether it's the design, technology, or powertrains, it comes with a distinctively modern design, is packed with modern amenities, and offers three different engine options. With these robust upgrades, the Duster became more appealing to consumers and a viable option in the segment. Let's have a close look at the all-new Duster and discover the top five highlights of this mid-size SUV.
1. 2026 Renault Duster: Design

The newly unveiled Duster retains the previous Duster’s unique shape and strong road presence with its iconic silhouette. Automakers have designed the new-generation model of Duster to be visually more aggressive and sharper, while there are several classic design cues that seem reworked, giving the SUV a tougher, more modern, and muscular stance altogether. All the changes that the new Duster has received in terms of design and styling make it feel fresh and keep it competitive in the market.
2. Multiple Mechanical Powertrains

The new Duster features three different engine options. Consumers can choose from a 1.0L turbo-petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission that can produce 100 bhp of power and 152 Nm of torque. Next up is a 1.3L turbo-petrol engine that can generate 163 bhp and 280 Nm of torque, coupled with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed DCT gearbox.
Further, a class-leading 1.8L strong-hybrid petrol engine is going to be offered with the new Renault Duster, which is expected to be available by Diwali 2026. The hybrid package includes a 1.4 kWh battery unit with e-shifter technology, and the brand claims up to 80 percent electric-only driving capability with this engine.
3. Refreshed Interior Changes

Talking about the interiors, the cabin upgrades are different from the global-spec variant. While getting inside the car, you might experience leather upholstery and premium materials on the dashboard. The most prominent features are the twin-screen layout, a 3-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, a stubby gear selector, and the front armrest with tambour doors. The following are the features included:
- 10.25-inch digital driver’s display
- 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- Wireless smartphone charger
- Wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay
- Panoramic Sunroof
- Dual-Zone Auto AC
- Power and ventilated front seats
