Renault Triber Insight Review
What We Like?
- The refreshed exterior design gives the Triber a sharper and more contemporary look, enhancing its road presence.
- Smart cabin layout and flexible seating offer excellent space for families, making it one of the most practical MPVs in its segment.
- Well-tuned suspension absorbs rough patches with ease, ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride on city roads and highways.
- Compact dimensions and light steering make the Triber easy to park and maneuver in crowded urban areas.
- Continues to be one of the most budget-friendly 7-seater cars in India, providing strong value and low ownership costs.
What could have been better?
- The engine feels a bit weak when you need quick acceleration, especially during sudden overtakes or while cruising at higher highway speeds.
- Interior plastics and overall fit-and-finish could be better to give a more premium feel.
- With all three rows in use, the boot space becomes quite limited, making it difficult to store larger luggage.
Overview of Renault Triber

- The new Renault Triber has been unveiled with design elements such as a gloss-black grille with horizontal slats and more.
- The Triber features Renault’s new 2D logo for the first time.
- The rear of the Triber has also been redesigned with smoked LED tail lamps with a blacked-out cluster and updated bumper.
- There are ample colour options for the new Triber, such as Amber Terracotta, Shadow Grey, and Zanskar Blue.
- The 8-inch infotainment touchscreen supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
- The new Triber retains its 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine.
- The new Triber’s lineup includes four trim levels: Authentic, Evolution, Techno, and Emotion.
Renault Triber Exterior Styling

- An eye-catching design element is the new Triber’s 2D diamond logo, creating a new brand identity.
- The redesigned grille of the new Triber now includes finishing in glossy piano black with pronounced vertical slats or, on some variants, horizontal slats replacing the previous chrome-accented version.
- The sleek, angular all-LED headlights can be found on both sides of the new Triber. These now have striking “eyebrow” style LED DRLs (daytime running lamps) that flow outwards.
- The bumper of the new Triber now features a thick silver surround for the lower grille, a wider central air dam, and vertical intake vents. The fog lamps are pushed further down and outward.
- The bonnet of the new Triber is flatter and more sculpted than before.
- From the side, the roof, roof rails, door handles, and outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs) have received a black finish.
- The side cladding is slim around the wheel arches, with a thicker black decal along the lower door panels.
- The new Triber drives over 15-inch steel wheels, which can be credited to the new dual-tone stylised covers.
- At the rear, the most striking change is the switch to slim, smoked LED taillamps with blacked-out clusters that connect visually via a gloss black trim piece beneath the rear window.
- The rear bumper with black cladding also includes a silver-finish skid plate at the bottom.
Renault Triber Interior Design

- Step inside the interior, and the cabin greets its customers with a dual-toned theme that blends black and grey surfaces alongside a sophisticated silver panel running across the dashboard and the air conditioning vents.
- The seat upholstery in the new Triber has been fine-tuned for comfort and style; select variants get lighter-coloured materials to create an airy ambience.
- The higher variants feature an 8-inch MediaNAV system that supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, plus wireless connectivity.
- The other variants receive a 7-inch TFT display, which delivers critical driver information.
- The air conditioning vents are now positioned below the infotainment screen and are finished with a fresh silver bezel.
- The premium variants of the new Triber carry features such as ventilated front seats, a wireless charger, push-button start/stop, cruise control, and a cooled glovebox.
- The new Triber continues to offer its signature “ultra-modular” seating arrangement, supporting over 100 seating combinations.
- The second row can slide, recline, tumble, or fold, while the third row is fully removable, enabling configurations from a full 7-seater to a maximum-boot 2-seater.
- The driver’s seat is now 6-way adjustable and features an armrest for better ergonomics, with height adjustment available in higher variants.
- Independent AC vents in both the second and third rows are a beneficial feature for passengers seated in the rear.
- The interior storage offers a total of 23 litres of storage capacity spread across the cabin.
- The boot space of the new Triber expands up to 625 litres with the third row removed.

ESC constantly monitors and adjusts steering and braking forces to prevent loss of directional control, especially during sudden manoeuvres. TCS detects irregular wheel spin and automatically modulates engine power to maintain grip.

- The new Triber features seat belt reminders for both front and rear passengers, along with pretensioners and force limiters on front seatbelts, and child safety locks, which are standard.

Renault Triber User Reviews
Budget Family Car Winner
Perfect for growing families on budget. Kids love the space, wife appreciates the features, I'm happy with maintenance costs. Resale value is question mark but for now it's serving our needs perfectly. Best 7-seater you can buy under 7 lakhs on road.
Good but Not Great
Pricing is attractive but you compromise on power and features. For little more money, could get more powerful Ertiga or feature rich Carens. Triber is good for those on tight budget who need 7 seats. Value is there but not exceptional considering limitations.
Excellent VFM Package
Where else can you get 7-seater with SUV looks under 8 lakhs? Maruti Ertiga costs 2 lakhs more. Build quality is good, features are adequate, space is amazing. Service costs are also reasonable. Best value proposition in MPV segment currently available in market.
