Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. has expanded its customer network by adding 54 new touchpoints across India in the first quarter of 2026. The company announced this expansion from Gurugram on April 10. This move is part of Nissan's strategy to reach 400 touchpoints by the end of fiscal year 2027.

Network Expansion Details

The new facilities are located in 25 cities, including major urban centers such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru. The expansion includes a combination of 3S (Sales, Service, and Spare Parts), 2S, and 1S outlets. All outlets are built to Nissan's global retail standards. This network growth aims to improve accessibility and enhance the customer experience across India.

Nissan's current retail portfolio in India includes the Nissan MAGNITE and the recently launched Nissan GRAVITE. The company plans to introduce the all-new Nissan TEKTON and a C-SUV 7-seater in the near future. These additions are expected to strengthen Nissan's presence in the Indian automotive market.

Sales Performance and Future Plans

In March 2026, Nissan Motor India recorded domestic wholesale sales of 4,408 units. This figure marks the company's highest monthly domestic wholesale in five years and represents a 98% increase compared to the previous year. Including exports, Nissan's total sales for March 2026 reached 10,388 units, with 5,980 units exported.

Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, stated that the opening of 54 new touchpoints in Q1 2026 is a significant milestone. He emphasized that network expansion remains a critical part of Nissan's strategy, alongside strengthening the product portfolio. The company aims to improve accessibility, customer reach, and brand experience as it progresses toward its goal of 400 touchpoints by the end of FY27.

Since 2025, Nissan Motor India has exported over 1.2 million vehicles and now serves 65 international markets from India. The company continues to focus on both domestic growth and export expansion as part of its long-term strategy.
