On this significant milestone, Saurabh Vatsa, MD at Nissan Motor India, said it's a proud moment for the entire Nissan Motor India family as it has recorded a 200,000 global sales milestone for Magnite. Nissan Magnite has continued to capture the imagination of customers with its dynamic design, superior quality, and innovative features. He also stated that the brand is grateful for the customers in India and global markets who trusted the product and showed love for the Nissan brand.
Recently, the Japanese automaker introduced the CNG variant for its Magnite SUV with a starting price of Rs 6.89 lakh, ex-showroom. While many competitors offer factory-fitted CNG kits, Nissan Magnite gets CNG retrofitment at the dealership level. The CNG kit for Magnite is designed, developed, and QA checked by Motozen, Nissan's external vendor for this CNG retrofit process. The company offers a 12kg single-cylinder configuration and installs it at government-approved fitment centers. Motozen is also providing a warranty for its CNG kit, whereas Nissan has continued offering a standard 3-year or 1 lakh km warranty on the vehicle, even after CNG kit retrofitment.
The interior of Magnite CNG is still technologically equipped with regular ICE options. It features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a push-button start and stop, USB Type-C, and automated climate control.
For safety, the sub-compact SUV gets vehicle dynamic control, electronic stability control, traction control, hill start assist, tire pressure monitoring, and ABS with EBD. Nissan's best-selling SUV in India also features hydraulic brake assist, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and a high-speed alert system.
The CNG retrofitment is offered at an additional price of Rs 75,000 and can be availed in any variant powered by a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine. The base variant of Nissan Magnite is priced at Rs 6.14 lakh, and with the CNG kit retrofitment option, the customers must pay Rs 6.89 lakh. While some cargo space is compromised, the Nissan Magnite CNG can be ideal for those focusing mainly on low operational costs.
