Nissan India is set to introduce the fourth-generation X-Trail SUV soon. Initially announced for India in 2022, the SUV will arrive as early as next month. Nissan has confirmed that bookings will begin from July 23, while prices will be announced on August 1, 2024. The new flagship model will arrive as a Completely Built Unit (CBU).

Nissan X-Trail India Specifications

The fourth-generation X-Trail has been available globally since 2021 and has been known as the Rogue in North America since 2020. For the Indian market, the SUV will feature a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine with a 12-volt mild-hybrid system. This setup delivers 161 bhp and 300 Nm of peak torque, paired with a shift-by-wire CVT automatic gearbox.

The Indian version of the X-Trail will only be available in front-wheel drive (FWD) configuration, unlike the overseas models that offer an all-wheel drive (AWD) version with a 2.5-litre petrol engine. Notably, the latest generation X-Trail does not include a diesel engine option globally.

Nissan X-Trail Features

The Nissan X-Trail will be equipped with several high-end features, including:

  • LED headlamps with DRLs
  • Dual-pane panoramic sunroof
  • Dual-zone climate control
  • Electronic parking brake with auto-hold
  • Cruise control
  • 360-degree camera
  • 8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity
  • 12.3-inch digital instrument console
  • Front and rear parking sensors
  • Keyless entry
  • Multiple drive modes
  • Wireless charging

Nissan X-Trail Colours

The Nissan X-Trail will be available in a single, fully-loaded variant with three colour options:

  • Diamond Black
  • Champagne Silver
  • Pearl White

The SUV will come standard with 20-inch alloy wheels.

Nissan X-Trail Expected Price

The new Nissan X-Trail will be launched in a seven-seater configuration in India, competing with models like the Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian, Volkswagen Tiguan, Toyota Fortuner, and Isuzu MU-X. As a full import, the pricing is expected to be on the higher side. Estimated prices are expected to be announced soon.

The X-Trail will join the Magnite in Nissan’s lineup until the automaker's new range of SUVs arrives starting in 2025. Upcoming models include the Magnite facelift and a compact SUV available in both five- and seven-seater configurations.
