Orbic, a global leader in sustainable electronic innovation, has unveiled the world's first 5G enabled eBike equipped with advanced AI object avoidance and collision detection technology. This groundbreaking announcement, made at the prestigious 2024 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain marks a significant milestone in the realm of smart transportation, emphasizing rider safety, advanced connectivity, and environmental sustainability.

Visionary Leadership and Innovation Pipeline

Mike Narula, President and CEO of Orbic, expressed the company's dedication to innovation, stating, "Introducing Orbic's 5G e-Bike at MWC Barcelona is part of our innovation pipeline that implements advanced technology to expand connectivity and enhance user experiences." The integration of 5G connectivity and AI technology aims to redefine the riding experience, prioritizing safety and environmental responsibility across various terrains.

Advanced Safety Features

Orbic's new technology actively monitors the rear surroundings of the eBike, utilizing an advanced AI avoidance detection system. Equipped with a sensor offering a 140-degree field of view, the eBike delivers instant audible and visual alerts to riders, enhancing awareness and safety, particularly in scenarios involving oncoming vehicles.

Cutting-Edge Camera System and User Interface

The 5G e-Bike features a sophisticated camera system, including a front-facing 64MP camera for capturing and livestreaming adventures, an 8MP camera for video calls, and a 2MP rear camera for enhanced safety, collision avoidance, and object detection. Additionally, a 7-inch all-weather touchscreen display provides riders with essential information such as battery status, speed, distance, maps, and tracking, ensuring a seamless user experience.

High-Speed 5G Connectivity

Central to the 5G e-Bike's functionality is its high-speed 5G connectivity, minimizing lag time and optimizing communication speed for livestreaming, real-time navigation, and bike-to-bike communication. Users can easily share trail experiences, access real-time maps, and enjoy fully immersive riding experiences with fellow riders.

Environmental Sustainability

Orbic's commitment to sustainability is evident in the design of the 5G e-Bike, which operates without utilizing fossil fuels or generating carbon emissions. Riders can enjoy guilt-free, eco-friendly transportation while reducing their carbon footprint, aligning with Orbic's dedication to developing sustainable technology. Though the  e-bike has unveiled in Europe, its launch in Indian market might take sometime.
