ReadyAssist has launched Project Shakthi to train 300 women for automotive service roles in 15 Indian cities over two years. The initiative aims to increase women's participation in the automobile service industry, offering monthly earnings up to Rs. 50,000. The program targets cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Pune.
Key Highlights
- Project Shakthi will train 300 women in 15 Indian cities over two years
- Participants can earn up to Rs 50000 per month in flexible freelance roles
- No prior technical experience or minimum education required for eligibility
- Initial training focuses on Dashcam and GPS Fitment Technician roles
- ReadyAssist plans to expand through partnerships with organisations and government bodies
Programme Structure and Eligibility
Project Shakthi does not require prior technical experience or minimum educational qualifications. Eligible participants must be women of legal working age with a valid driver's license and the ability to ride a two-wheeler. The program offers a flexible freelance model, allowing women to set their own working hours.
Training is provided through a free, structured 10-day course. This includes classroom instruction and hands-on field exposure. Women are initially trained as dashcam and GPS fitment technicians, learning installation, configuration, and basic diagnostics. Over time, participants can expand into additional service areas.
Implementation and Expansion Plans
The initiative builds on a pilot project in Bengaluru. The first batch of women technicians has completed training and is now working in the field. ReadyAssist reports positive customer feedback and strong performance from early participants, supporting the program's viability.
Founder and CEO Vimal Singh SV stated that Project Shakthi aims to create structured career pathways for women in technical, customer-facing roles. He described the Bengaluru pilot as a strong indicator of what is possible with proper training and support.
In the next phase, ReadyAssist will collaborate with women's empowerment organizations, training institutes, and government bodies to expand the program. The company currently operates in over 19,100 pin codes, with more than 11,000 technicians and 6,500 tow trucks across India.

CarBike 360 Says
Project Shakthi marks a meaningful step toward reshaping India’s automotive workforce by opening doors for women in a traditionally male-dominated field. By combining skill development with employment opportunities, ReadyAssist is not only addressing industry gaps but also fostering inclusivity. Initiatives like this could play a key role in building a more diverse, future-ready mobility ecosystem.
