The Renault Duster Evolution, the second base variant in the Duster lineup, has reached showrooms across India. Positioned above the base Authentic trim, the Evolution variant offers more features and engine options, making it a notable choice for buyers seeking value and versatility.

Variant Position and Engine Options
The Duster Evolution sits just above the base Authentic trim. The base Authentic trim comes only with a 1.0L Turbo Petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Starting from the Evolution trim, buyers can choose between a 1.0L Turbo Petrol and a 1.3L Turbo Petrol engine. The 1.3L engine is available with both a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed DCT automatic transmission.
Pricing for the Evolution trim starts at Rs 11.69 lakh for the 1.0 Turbo MT. The 1.3L Turbo MT is priced at Rs 12.99 lakh, and the 1.3L Turbo DCT costs Rs 14.49 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
Exterior and Interior Features

The Evolution trim includes several exterior enhancements. It features LED low beam headlights, halogen high beam lights, LED daytime running lights, turn indicators, and connected LED tail lights. The rear fog lights are also LED. Other features include functional roof rails, a shark fin antenna, 17-inch alloy wheels, a rear defogger, and a rear washer and wiper. The tyres on this trim are 225-section, offering improved grip and stability.
Inside, the Evolution is the first Duster trim to offer a 10.1-inch infotainment screen. This unit supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and is paired with six Arkamys-tuned speakers. The instrument cluster is a 7-inch TFT display. Other interior features include powered outside rearview mirrors, steering-mounted controls for audio, telephony, and cruise control, and a fully manual air conditioning system with rear AC vents.
Additional Comfort and Convenience
The Evolution trim provides front and rear armrests, all five adjustable headrests, a remote flip key, and an audio control stalk behind the steering wheel. It also includes a manually dimming inside rearview mirror, two USB Type-C ports at the front and rear, a rear parking camera with adaptive guidelines, and a rear parcel shelf.
For those choosing the 1.3 Turbo DCT variant, Renault adds features like an electronic parking brake with auto hold, paddle shifters, and a modified center console. The key fob includes a boot release button, and a parcel shelf comes as standard with the Evolution trim.
