Royal Enfield will launch its first electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea, in India on April 10. The company will open its first dedicated showroom for the model in Bengaluru on the same day. The Flying Flea introduces several advanced features and technology to Royal Enfield's lineup.

Design and Urban Focus

Flying Flea Performance and Battery

The Flying Flea uses a 15.4 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). This motor enables the motorcycle to accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in 3.7 seconds. The bike reaches a top speed of 115 kmph. It is powered by a 3.91 kWh battery, which provides a claimed IDC range of 154 km on a single charge.
Royal Enfield has equipped the Flying Flea with an onboard charger. This system charges the battery from 20 percent to 80 percent in about 65 minutes. The charging rate is approximately one percent per minute, allowing for quick top-ups during urban commutes.
Key Features and Technology
The Flying Flea comes with a range of modern features. It includes all-LED lighting for improved visibility and energy efficiency. The motorcycle offers onboard navigation powered by Google, ensuring accurate route guidance. Wireless phone charging is also available for convenience.
Safety features include cornering ABS and traction control. The Flying Flea provides multiple ride modes, such as Sport and Individual. The Individual mode allows riders to customize traction control, ABS intervention, and throttle response to suit their preferences.
