Royal Enfield has expanded its line up with the launch of the Guerrilla 450, a new roadster model in the Indian market. With a starting price of ₹2.39 lakh (ex-showroom), the Guerrilla 450 is available in three variants: Analogue, Dash, and Flash. Bookings are now open, with test rides and sales commencing from August 1st. The Guerrilla 450 shares its foundation with the successful Himalayan 450 adventure tourer. However, it features a more aggressive riding position with a lower handlebar and slightly rear-set foot pegs, making it better suited for navigating city streets.
The Guerrilla 450 inherits several components from its adventure-oriented sibling, including the circular LED headlamp, tail lamp, and exhaust unit. However, it sports a single-piece seat and a smaller fuel tank, reflecting its city-centric design. Powering the roadster is the Sherpa 450 engine, a 452 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled unit producing 39.52 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a slip-and-assist clutch.
The Guerrilla 450's feature set includes:
• All-digital instrument cluster with Google Maps support (higher variants)
• Analogue cluster with digital display and Tripper pod (lower variant)
• USB charging port and hazard lights
• Two riding modes and ride-by-wire technology
• LED lighting
The motorcycle's chassis consists of a tubular frame with the engine as a stressed member. Suspension duties are handled by 43 mm telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear, offering 140 mm and 150 mm of travel, respectively. The braking system includes a 310 mm disc at the front and a 270 mm disc at the rear. It features 17-inch alloy wheels fitted in 120/70 front and 160/60 tyres..
Key dimensions of the Guerrilla 450 include a 1,440 mm wheelbase, 169 mm ground clearance, and a seat height of 780 mm. The motorcycle weighs 185 kg fully fueled and carries an 11-litre fuel tank.
